History of ADR

This space rocks. Seriously. Back in the 80s, Atwater Deluxe was known as Hully-Gully. It's where L.A. legends X, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Blasters rehearsed. When they were in town, the Pretenders were also known to stop in.

Silver Lake historian Mark Olick notes that it was famous for its after-hours parties and seasonal entertainment events, but that it was eventually shuttered as a security risk (the owners couldn't afford to hire security guards) and as a fire hazard.

After a number of businesses moved through the space, we're bringing music back with Atwater Deluxe. More finished, more modern, and definitely more secure than it was when X shot this video in the space (the rollup door is still there), we're proud to be part of its history.
